I
am a student at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville,
Virginia
enrolled in the Health Information Management program.
I am interested in researching my family genealogy of the
Guillard-Primel Family and creating a website to tell other family members about our
ancestry. I
began doing genealogy research several years ago to learn about family
members who preceded me, where they came from and what they were like.
By using the Family Tree Maker software program I have been able to
create a rather large electronic family tree which includes 469 family members
spanning 7 generations from the paternal side of my family of the Guillards
and the Primels. My tree includes other branches of my family as well,
but that is another story.
Learning about family history is interesting,
educational and rewarding in many ways.
It can tell us something about ourselves and how we came to be the way
that we are. People can become very involved in doing research and be
"hooked" on finding out more about their family members. |
